The Queens Head Inn Blyford dates back over 500 years, and that history - the knowledge of the old ways and the bounty of Suffolk farming - is still the legacy of QHB today.
Our ethos can be summed up as 'home grown and known grown', where we serve produce either from our garden, foraged from Suffolk lands, or provided by the local area's most exceptional, ethical and inspiring producers. We are proud to be a part of this community.
Our thatched roof pub has a cosy interior and log fireplace as well as the finest Adnams on tap. We have extensive gardens to explore and our summer set up includes a Marquis and a Romanian Caravan Food Truck.
Landlord Matthew Goodwin took over QHB in 2018 and has turned the establishment into a real family pub, not only in the welcoming environment that makes it a wonderful place to be together as family or friends, but in that the team of QHB is made up mostly of Goodwins and long term friends.
Matt runs the kitchen and pub as a whole with a passion for exceptional produce and a slight fetish for baking. He works to make QHB authentic, and is constantly rediscovering the old ways -from sourdough starters for foraged mushroom pizzas to re-doing the interiors with goat's hair and clay paint. His knowledge of the building's history and its resident spirits will astound you, and extends to so much more than simply QHB.
